The agate is a stone which is declined under almost all the colors. Of its composition, the stone agate belongs to the family of quartz of Calcedon and is constituted mainly of silica being formed through volcanic lava. This is the reason why agate comes in so many shapes, colors and patterns.

Description: Agate is a variety of chalcedony which is characterized by successive deposits of different colors or tones. It is part of the fine stones. From the Greek akhatês, it owes its name to a river of Sicily in which it was found in abundance: Achates. Its deposits can be found in Germany, Australia (a variety of agate with green, yellow, pink or red stripes) and the United States.
