Motherwort or motherwort (Leonurus cardiaca) is a perennial plant of the Lamiaceae family. Motherwort comes from the Latin "acer, acris", meaning "pointed" and "palma", meaning the palm of the hand. This refers to the shape of the leaves with sharp lobes.
