 Athame on the theme of the Celts with an interlaced pentacle on the guard of the cross

Before using it, the athame must be "consecrated" by a ritual of consecration.

Used to delineate the magic circle, to draw various symbols or signs on various supports or in the air, to channel magical energies, to mix the ingredients of potions, or to repel "demons", "ghosts" or other unwelcome "evil spirits" during the various Wicca ceremonies and practices. The athame is used to charge the magic intensity to an amulet, a talisman.
